So anyone here about the 2 girls that got sued for bringing cookies to their neighbor?

Ya, that's right... 2 early-teenage girls wanted to be nice so they baked cookies and brought them to people in their neighborhood. They wanted to be a surprise so they didn't tell people they were coming, they'd just come over ring the doorbell and leave the cookies for the person. They thought it'd be nice to leave some for an elderly lady in the area. So they did, and the lady freaked out thinking the person ringing the doorbell was someone who was going to rob/kill her. And she had to call someone to come get her and stay somewhere else for the night.

Then, finding out who was actually at the door, decided to sue the girls for causing her emotional stress and damage... or some such nonsense.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH PEOPLE

2 girls try to do something nice (a rarity these days) and they get sued for it.... Thankfully the Judge threw out the punitive damage claims... and only charged the girls $900 instead of like $5000... but still... getting sued for $900 because you baked someone cookies....

I can guarantee that THAT old lady never get's something nice done for her again...
