The trouble with Wonder bread

The trouble with Wonder bread is that it's mostly air. I like bread, I like for my bread to be a participating part of my sandwich. Wonder bread, however, is too light, I think it was designed for people who want to eat a sandwich, but really just want to eat meat, or whatever. From this purchase I have learned to buy denser bread, as I previously knew, but took a shot on the on-sale Wonder bread.

As the family motto goes: Never try new things, you'll only be disappointed.

Last night' storm brought snow to the mountains. The high today is supposed to be 58. I miss summer already, but can I please have autumn for at least a few weeks before winter?

Great Hair Gel Conspiracy

So I was brushing my teeth last night and I noticed something that perplexed me. I have DEP hair gel sitting on the ledge in the bathroom. My roommate has LA Looks hair gel, and my other roommate has Got2B hair gel. All three products are manufactured by Schwarzkopf and Henckel. ALL OF THEM! So my new theory is that there is only one hair gel manufacturer in the world, and they just sell the same stuff to different re-branders. Don't be fooled people, you're all buying the same stuff.

Oh, and I was listening to sky.fm internet radio, and a song came on that I hadn't heard before. I thought, that's strange, that sounds very much like a Blink182 song, but it was by a band Angels and Airwaves. A quick trip to Wikipedia explains that the lead singer of Blink182 created Angels and Airwaves, hence the identical sound. Guess I just found a new favorite band to get the music of.

Tricksy devils, they can't fool me.

iProvo

MStar is supposed to come out today and install our iProvo fiber connection for internet access. I sure hope it actually happens. Not having internet access at home is becoming increasingly frustrating.

I'm really not sure why anyone in Provo doesn't use an iProvo connection. A 15 mbs connection is $39.95 a month. The leading competitor is Comcast cable which provides a 1.5 mbs connection for $42.95 a month. Plus MStar does free installation, so there's not connection cost. Also, Comcast has been mistreating its customers by capping traffic bandwidth and shutting down bitTorrent traffic.

[Update: 2:35 pm]
The connection is complete. 3.5 hours to get fiber run from the pole into the house and a cat5 line run from the basement upstairs. Excellent service by competent techs, I am already very pleased.

So I'm sitting at work, catching up on Digg, and came across the Nerd Test version 2.0. Here are my results:

NerdTests.com says I'm an Uber Cool High Nerd. What are you? Click here!

See, I may be a nerd, but I'm an "Uber Cool High Nerd". That's got to count for something, right? Right? Dang.
