Current Mood: Tired
Well, I'm back in CT now. Long boring flight... ate some McDonald's... have church at 10... so I guess I'll be going to bed now... Anyone else in Cromwell: let me know.. I'll need something to do to prevent me from going crazy for the next 2.5 weeks. And I'll need to do all my christmas shopping... and visit the high school... and go to the orthodontist... and go to jury duty (which they screwed up my date for, I request Dec 20, and somehow that translated to Jan 4 in their heads... I'll be in Utah again on that date... idiots...)

Last final is tomorrow morning... then hopefully a little socializing with a female tomorrow evening... packing... and flying home on Saturday...

MoTab Christmas Concert
11 December 2005 @ 12:52 AM MST
Current Music: Yes, Yes it was music
Current Mood: Great, and awesome, and Christmas-y
So I'm chilling at work on another long Winter's Saturday night. Had a way awesome evening, after a bit frustrating afternoon.

It was, apparently, difficult to get everyone organized for the night's events. But once I finally managed to get people coordinated it was great.

4:15 - Meet up at my apartment (Dan, Brianne, Josh, Jenny, Spencer, ?, Myself, Shannon).

5:00 - Get to "Mimi's Cafe" (Lots of traffic). A really nice French-ish restaurant. I had the Apple Cider Pork Chops, very good (and still have some left). Shannon tried the Veggie Something-or-other Sandwich, which she said was really good. (Since she ate almost all of it, I can only assume it was). (And, no, she's not a vegetarian).

6:00 - Leave Mimi's to head to SLC (much later than I had planned on...

7:15 - Arrive in parking garage in SLC (seats began to be given away to Standby at 7:00)

7:25ish - Moving very quickly we got through the light security, and managed to get the last 4 seats in our section before they sent people to the balcony.

7:30 - The performance begins. Very good. Renee Fleming, Claire Bloom, Orchestra at Temple Square, and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Very well done.

9:00 - Performance ends, Dan and Brianne go to look at the JSMB, Shannon and I walk around Temple Square making chit-chat and looking at the lights.

10:00 - Met up at the car, and drove back to Provo.

10:50 - Arrived in Provo, got dropped off at the apartment by Dan and Brianne. Made some hot chocolate, and watched "A Charlie Brown Christmas". (Which Shannon hadn't seen yet). Walked her back to her apartment, got a goodnight hug ( big grin ), and then changed and came to work. A Way good night overall.

It's almost over
8 December 2005 @ 11:35 PM MST
Current Music: Drew Carey Show on TV
Current Mood: Almost relieved
Just finished my CS330 project. I created, designed, and implemented a Little Language for creating, and giving quizzes. I'm actually quite proud with how it turned out. It's written in Scheme, and runs in the DrScheme Interpreter. I've dubbed the language: Queazy (italicized), for "Quizzes Made Easy".

I also turned in my English 316 paper yesterday. I think I did pretty well on that as well. It was a comparative review of the Nikon Coolpix 5600, Canon SD300, Kodak DX7440. The Nikon won, and I'll be getting one for Christmas. It's a sweet camera.

Found out the other day that Brant and Gary are moving out for Winter Semester. They're moving to Gary's house. We'll be getting Brant's younger brother, and someone else moving in.

The Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert is this saturday (as previously mentioned). It should be fun. We'll probably be going up to SLC early for dinner, and possibly walk around Temple Square.

I have no idea what I'll be getting people for Christmas... just no idea whatsoever...

Friday and Saturday are 'Reading Days' not that I'll be doing alot of reading... I plan to mostly play video games and goof off, since I haven't been able to do that for about 2 weeks.

Sooo tired....
4 December 2005 @ 03:01 AM MST
Current Music: Some movie on TBS...
Current Mood: not sure
So by the time I got to bed (~4:30 am, cause I'm at work) I will have slept 5 hours in the past 44 hours... fun. I was up until 6 AM saturday morning writing my english paper. I've been so busy finishing all projects, and it's not over yet... I did, luckily, finish the Shell Lab for my CS324 System Architecture Class, that was kind of fun. I still have to create and implement a Little Language programming language for CS330... Then All the fun finals coming up soon...

Social Life:
Let's see, I don't think I've done anything social this week, haven't had time. I probably won't get a chance to anything social until Friday. Classes end on Thursday, so I get Friday and Saturday as 'Reading Days' (yah, ok... like that will happen). On Saturday we (the apartment and various accompanying dates) are going to the Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert up in the Conference Center in Salt Lake City. It should be good (I went last year too, it was very well done). I'll be taking Shannon along, I'm not entirely sure what all the other arrangements are, Brant and Coralee, Dan and Brianne, I don't know about Gary or Spencer though...

Employment:
I'll be starting a new job next semester. After the first week, I'll say goodbye to the Network Operations Center that has been my home-away-from-home-away-from-home. I'll be working as a Research Assistant in the Human Centered Machine Intelligence Lab (HCMI Lab). I'll be working for Dr. Goodrich doing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle research. I'll also be participating in Team Design Class to develop UAV interface and operation. At the end of the semester there will be a competition and the winning team will be sent to a National competition in Virginia.

So Life is starting to get interesting again, just wish I had more time for social life stuff. I watched the Disney version of Robin Hood today, twice (at the apt. and at work.), it's such a good movie. I even went grocery shopping today and got lots of good food (and a dozen donuts).

I apologize if anything in here doesn't make sense, as I mentioned I'm running on very little sleep, so it may look right to me now, but actually make no sense...
